This hand carved wax relief sculpture was cast in beeswax from a mold taken from and original clay sculpture. It is hand painted in oil paints with gold leaf accents.  The sculpture rests on a lush red, silk velvet background.
 
   All of my framed relief sculptures feature a convex glass covering to protect from dust. The convex glass also creates a beautiful specimen or diorama look which I prefer. The ornate round frame is wood with a gold leaf finish measuring 13 inches across.
