Hand carved wax relief sculpture featuring a Great Blue Heron soaring below two moons. Hand painted in oil paints with gold leaf accents. The double moon is made of thin sheets of colored wax. The sculpture rests on a red velvet background. All of my framed relief sculptures feature a convex glass covering to protect from dust. The convex glass also creates a beautiful specimen or diorama look which I prefer. The ornate frame is wood with a gold leaf finish measuring a large 18 inches x 15.5 inches.
